Scenic Hotel Group is New Zealand’s largest independently owned and operated hotel group. We are 100 percent New Zealand owned, and pride ourselves on offering true Kiwi hospitality at our 17 hotels throughout the country. Our two brands, namely Heartland Hotels and Scenic Hotels, plus the Te Waonui Forest Retreat, offer distinct levels of value, comfort, quality and luxury.

Each of our hotels presents its own style and personality, reflecting its unique location.
Dunedin, the South Island’s second largest city, is vibrant and modern, providing both a rich heritage and a vibrancy of culture. Situated on State Highway 1, about 400 kilometres south of Christchurch, its airport receives trans-Tasman flights from the main Australian cities as well as regular domestic flights from New Zealand’s main and provincial centres.

Located just two blocks from the Octagon, Scenic Hotel Dunedin City is a stylish hotel featuring stunning design in a convenient inner city location with valet off street parking. It’s mid-sized, fully air-conditioned conference room has it’s own street level entry and is available for a range of events. Our on-site events planner will help tailor our resources to your individual needs.

The Scenic Hotel Dunedin City provides guests with an exceptional level of comfort, style and service. Accommodation rooms are large and modern and are currently made up of two categories, standard and superior, all with good natural lighting. Nearing completion is a series of new rooms on the top (8th) level of the hotel. This Executive Level will have 11 top of the line rooms which will ideally suit the business traveller who is after a touch of high tech luxury in association with their conference requirements (see ‘More information’ segment). All guests can also take advantage of the excellent catering options from the restaurant and bar, serving breakfasts and dinners daily.
