Built in 1874 the historic Ballroom features a 3000 square sprung floor, beautiful chandeliers and seating for 200 people and can do up to 350 for theme buffets. Guests may also arrange to explore the inside of New Zealand’s only Castle and marvel at the unique talented craftsmanship and collection of antiques. Guests may explore award winning Larnach Castle and "Garden of International Significance", this is ideal for partner programmes. A Boutique Lodge situated on Castle grounds. There are 12 rooms, these are suitable for live in conferences.
Camp Estate Dunedin’s historical Larnach Castle is complimenting its conference and accommodation facilities with the addition of Camp Estate, a luxurious Country House positioned high on the Otago Peninsula, just 500 metres from the main gate at Larnach Castle.
The building first opened for business in the on the 31st of January 2011. Camp Estate features a grand marble staircase on entry. There are two dedicated meeting rooms, which feature the latest integrated technology. Functions guests also have use of the sitting room and spacious entrance and up stairs atrium. Catering is supplied from the catering team at Larnach Castle.
The house also has five well appointed bedrooms capturing both rural and harbour views. Key features of the rooms include the neo classic décor, individual fire places, and the use of designer guild wallpapers, mirror and black granite to boast a modern yet classic appeal.
Guests staying at Camp Estate are invited to dine in one of the Castle dining rooms at night, while breakfast is cooked in-house by the lodge host with a variety of cooked, continental or international cuisine.
